DAINTREE RAINFOREST
TOURS - A short drive North and you are in the Historic
Daintree Village. River Cruises, coffee shops and the Timber
museum are just a few of the items of interest. Cross
the Daintree River and you have entered another world of Ancient
Rainforests and 21st Century Tourism. Reef Trips, Bird Watching,
Horse Rides, Sea Kayaking and National Parks’ walks
will keep you busy but my favourite is to pack the Picnic
Basket and relax on one of the many small Beaches and just
breath the sea air in.
Within Wonga you can just fish off the Beach, saddle up a
horse at the Wonga Beach Trail Rides, Visit the Zoo, Travel
to Karnak Playhouse for one of Dianne Cilento’s unique
productions or visit the Dreamtime of the Mossman Gorge with
one of the Kuku Yalanji elders.
Oh and I forgot to mention a round of golf or two at the Mossman
Golf Course (it’s where all the locals play!!) and don’t
forget to have a Massage or two whilst you're with us. And
then there’s Port Douglas and a host of fabulous restaurants,
café’s bookshops, reef operators and the famous
Sunday Markets.
